On the day Benson was born, his uncle, Danny brought him this stuffed penguin to the hospital.
Benson seemed to like it ok, but not particularly more than any of his other animals or toys. A few weeks ago, Benson got sick and always wanted me to sleep in his bed with him. Sometimes I love being there while he's sleeping and I don't mind sleeping in his bed once in a while or for a few minutes here or there, but I don't want to be stuck in there until he turns 12, so I thought I better figure out a way to get him to sleep without me. So one night when Benson fell asleep, I moved away from him and when he grabbed for me, I gave him his penguin. He held his penguin tight and slept with him all night! It worked! He started sleeping with his penguin and carrying it around with him. I love it because Benson's uncle Danny is on a mission in Costa Rica and whenever I see that penguin, it reminds me of Danny. I sure do miss him!

I didn't know Benson did that. I miss Danny too! I hope when I have kids he buys them stuff like that. Sweet!
He is so cute. I love those pictures of him. He looks so sweet and innocent.
too bad your kid doesn't look like Danny. (but Danny didn't buy my kid a penguin, so I guess you win.)
p.s. I still think it's funny to see Benson in a big bed.
oh my natalie i love this post! Every time i see anything penguin it makes me think of danny. He will seriously love this post we need to make sure that he sees it :)
